As a freelance writer for Comedy Central’s motion picture division, my job was to write and pitch high-level promo concepts for films running on the network. When I saw Fantastic Four in my inbox, I asked myself, what would happen if the cast was asked to search for a 5th member? What would it look like? Would they be welcoming? It was highly unlikely.
